Frog in the Pond

We have a new pond frog, showed up yesterday after the ran we had the night before.

Chimney Swift Nest

We reinforced the raccoon guard on the chimney this afternoon. While up there we checked on the nest and saw 4 eggs.

Eastern Meadowlark

Saw an Eastern Meadowlark at the NCMA park singing from the top of a pine tree.

 

Galax Blooming

 Galax (Galax urceolata) are blooming right now at Hemlock Bluffs.

First Fireflies of the Summer

Saw fireflies while biking back from Yankovic Day Friday night 5/23.
